AlpInvest Partners takes majority stake in largest Dutch online tour operator GoGo Tours/Sunweb

Amsterdam, 27 July 2005.

AlpInvest Partners has taken a majority stake in Sunweb Holding, the largest and one of the fastest growing Dutch online direct sellers of sun and Wintersports packaged tours, operating under the brandnames Sunweb.nl and GoGo Tours.

Managing director Joost Romeijn of GoGo/Sunweb is very positive concerning this transaction: "We have previously been approached by financial investors concerning a possible acquisition but we have never reached an agreement. With AlpInvest Partners we have found the right partner to further expand GoGo/Sunweb in the Netherlands and abroad. The expertise, the network and financial strength of AlpInvest are very welcome in realizing this."

Paul Lamers, Partner buyouts of AlpInvest Partners adds: "We are very pleased with this transaction which in size and activity fits perfectly in our buyout portfolio. We invest in niche market leaders with a clear strategy, which are lead by entrepreneurial management with a strong track record. We are impressed with the growth GoGo and Sunweb.nl have realised the last couple of years and with the focused business model. We are looking forward bringing the company to the next level together with management. Future growth could be autonomous as well as via acquisitions."

The financial details of this transaction will not be made public.
