- ABP and PGGM sold interests in NIB Capital Bank to JC Flowers.
2004- NIB Capital Private Equity spun out to ABP and PGGM and renamed 'AlpInvest Partners'.
2003
- Before 2003, NIB Capital Private Equity operated as one integrated investment firm with distinct teams focusing on fund investments ("Investment Manager") as well as lead buyout investments in mid-sized companies located in the Benelux and Germany.
- In 2003, the investment committee for lead buyout investments was separated from the investment committee for the Investment Manager.
2000
- Alpinvest N.V. was acquired and combined with NIB Capital Private Equity.
1999
- NIB Capital formed through P2P of NIB Bank by ABP and PGGM (Dutch pension funds).
